This is such a beautiful yarn to knit with, single it makes the most gorgeous lace, sooooo soft, knitted as 2 strands together it will give you a fingering weight yarn that knits very well and can be substitited for for just below a double knitting weight using 4mm or 4.5mm needles. This yarn has 930metres per 100gms which will make a 72inch (2 metre) wrap, 2 skeins will make a shawl, or several scarves or whatever takes your fancy.
Perfect for lace knitting, or used double for a sweater or cardigan.

This continuous filament (1 strand) 100% pure silk yarn is somewhere between a laceweight and a 4 ply to knit with. It is very soft and silky to handle and a joy to knit with. Use needle sizes starting from a 3.25-3.5mm depending on what you are knitting, for open work lace a bigger needle can be used. Using a 5mm needle to make a scarf in a feather and fan stitch, it looks great. The bigger needle size gives a more open work affect. Perfect for scarves, wraps, shawls and for a very special baby knit.
