Araucania Ranco Multy
The Lake Ranco is located in the South of Chile, in one of its most spectacular river and lake systems. The region contains a variety of outstanding natural resources including lakes, islands, rivers, streams, hot springs, volcanoes, and beautiful valleys crossed by the rivers that provide excellent trout fishing. All of these, are surrounded by snow capped mountains and virgin forests.

Each 100gm hanks provides around 344metres of this multi coloured yarn that knitw on 3,25mm needles. Knit a 10cm tension square of 24 stitches per row.

As there are no dye lots, we recomend that you buy enough yarn at one time to complete each individual project. Knit with two hanks in assorted rows (2-4). This will ensure an overall blended effect.

Araucania Yarns is inspired by ancient Chilean crafts made from hand painted natural yarns.

The company was born when Nora Bierschwale, textile designer and her daughter Michelle Bosier, architect, decided to combine their talents and experience with the mission to create and produce beautiful and one-off yarns for the global market, employing ancient and traditional techniques which reflect Chile's ethnic origins. Each hank is different, its individual beauty emerges as the artisans blend colours to create several unique, interwoven shades.

Auracania Yarns is very proud to support local, sustainable job development, creating a new generation of skilled artisans in Chile. Each hank sold means more opportunities, more jobs and more hope.
