Ethical twist is a new premium brand of beautiful hand knitting yarns using organic wool and alpaca, which has been created from the finest ethical fibres and produced without the use of harmful synthetic chemicals or pesticides to produce the perfect eco yarn.

The finest quality fleeces from naturally reared sheep have been selected for their unique softness and unsurpassed handle. No chemicals or synthetic dyestuffs are used in manufacture, the shades being derived from the natural colour of the fleeces. Spinning is by the traditional ‘worsted spun’ method to enhance the softness of the yarn.

Ethical twist is available in 100g (3½ oz) skeins. Packaging has been kept to a minimum and makes full use of re-cycled and biodegradable materials.

Opal Sock Yarn

These are self patterning sock yarns made from 75% Wool and 25% polyamides which have become a firm favourite with sock knitters around the world.

Requiring only one ball of 100g wool, which gives approximately 425 metres of yarn, you will be able to knit up one pair of of beautifully coloured socks using 2.5mm needles. As you knit the yarn you will be able to watch as a fair isle or stripey pattern emerges. The picture shows a sock knitted from Circus Arlequin 232.66
