At long last, after a period of many years, Honiton has its own wool shop again. Fiddlesticks, in New Street, opened in April much to the delight of the towns knitters.
Barbara Sidwell, who comes from Exmouth, has been searching for the right premises for over a year before deciding on Honiton. Barbara says.... "I love Honiton, it has lots of small and interesting shops rather than all the usual High Street names, and I thought it would be a perfect for a wool shop. Judging by all the kind and supportive comments received from the shoppers it seems I have made the right decision." | Knitting Yarns
We are currently stocking yarns from:-
Araucania, Bergere De France, Cornish Organic Wool, Debbie Bliss, Devon Alpaca, Inka Sock Wool, Knitwitches, Louisa Harding, Noro, Opal, Sirdar, Stylecraft, Twilleys and UK Alpaca.
We will be extending the range to meet customers demands.
We also stock a range of patterns from Sirdar and Stylecraft as well as patterns books by Debbie Bliss, Louisa Harding, Noro and Bergere de France, and a number of patterns from UKHKA and BHKC which can be used with suitable yarn from any manufacturer. | Accessories
Fiddlesticks also keeps a comprehensive stock of knitting needles, crochet hooks and other haberdashery for the knitter and sewer as well as wide range of buttons including some very unusual buttons.
Barbara wants to encourage knitters old and new and will be holding regular knit and chat sessions at the shop and commencing this summer there will be special one day courses introducing new crafts with professional tutors.
